The global reduction of greenhouse gases is dependent on the adoption of energy conservation technologies at industrial level as well as this clean energy generation. That includes using unleaded gasoline, solar energy and alternative fuel vehicles, including plug-in hybrid and hybrid electric vehicles.

Since industrial use of energy accounts for 51% of worldwide energy usage[8] improving energy efficiency in this field is a top priority for environmental technology companies around the globe. Advanced energy efficient electric motor (and electric generator) technology that are cost effective to encourage their application, such as the brushless wound-rotor doubly fed electric machine and energy saving module, can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) that would otherwise be introduced to the atmosphere, if electricity is generated using fossil fuels. Last year, the US government created the National Renewable Energy Program (NREL), modeled on the NREL EPA Program used in the 1970s to improve energy efficiency in America. For all practical purposes, this is exactly like how a clean energy production could be achieved using more efficient fossil fuels while saving money on electricity, transportation, and pollution. The American government has built billions of homes in our cities with clean energy policies that eliminate CO2 emissions while allowing cities to get smart about their electricity infrastructure.

The National Renewable Energy Program’s recent budget proposal calls for $4 billion to install a range of public-private partnerships across the country to support local governments with the goal of reducing carbon emissions that contribute to climate change.

The NREL program was designed to create affordable, renewable energy in an era of unprecedented growth. But the budget has failed in its two key areas – to address climate change and to put more money into the grid. This is the key issue, with the costs of the New York City “Clean Energy Plan” going beyond the $1.2 trillion New York City spent creating in 2013. The Climate Act would also create a new program that targets future energy use in the City by investing $50 billion over 20 years to reduce carbon emissions. The Clean Power Plan is not unique to the Clean Power Plan — EPA’s Clean Power Plan is implemented by all cities in the US.
