Baskin-Robbins is one of the worlds largest hard serve ice cream franchise. It was in 1946 in
Glendale, California, when the Baskin-Robbins chain was founded. They now have more than 2,800 outlets in the U.S.
and is famous for their variety of creative flavors. In fact they serve more than 3.7 million
people each week. Baskin-Robbins has a healthy portion of frozen ice cream treats from ice cream cones to shakes and cakes.
Baskin-Robbins also has more than 5,800 outlets in more than 4o countries.

The financial standing of the company saw operating profits increase by 7% at the end of their fiscal year on
August 31, 2003. As a result the net revenue increased 3.7% to $346.7 million. The company also gained a system-wide
sales growth of 5% and opened 1,304 more new locations in that year. Dunkin Brands is owned by a group
of private investment firms. Dunkin Brands has three investors, who of which are Bain Capital, The Carlyle Group, and
Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P.
