The beautiful waves moving back and forth in the ocean and hearing the wind move the palm trees. Its like paradise here in California, my home.
“The limo has arrived Miss Ashley” Dave said patiently.
“I will be right there!” Ashley responded.
It is hard when you move to a new town but in my situation I moved in a new town because I was chosen to sing for a talent show and the next thing you know I have an album and am driving to my concert.

Ashley, Ashley the crowed cheers. Here I go the nerves and embarrassment begins. Mt first song was over now I had to change for my second the crowd was very loud but supportive. While I was in my dressing room I felt very dizzy.

“Ashley, Ashley are you decent? Youre on in 2 minutes Ashley! Help some one call 911. Its an emergency.”
Thats the last I heard then I was lying on the ground as pale as can be. As I awaken I saw unknown faces around me, I cried for help and I noticed I was in an ambulance. I heard voices saying she is awake. I was carried on a hospital bed, and I was entering the California need for care hospital. I saw small hallways, people in their hospital gowns with confused faces and all I heard were people crying and yelling.

When I got to the fifth floor of the hospital I saw my parents. My dad Kurt has blue eyes brown hair and hes 40 and my mom is Kim she has light blonde hair with green eyes who was the same age as my dad. My parents asked me why I was here and I told them my memory was blank but I saw someone come into my dressing room yelling for help and the next thing I was on the ground.

A doctor came to my family and I asked me how I felt. His name was Dr. Rated, he was pretty tall maybe around the age 40 he has brown hair with hazel colored eyes. I responded by saying I had a headache. Dr. Rated explained to my family and I that only tests would show why I had fainted. I agreed to take the tests.

The nurse entered my room with a needle that meant my tests were starting, while taking the test my head was in pain. Dr. Rated returned and he said the test would take a day so I could leave the hospital for the night.

When I finally got home my parents sat me down and said whatever the tests said they will be beside me. The next day I received a phone call that would be changing my life. The call said I was to meet at the hospital at 10:00 am, and my test results were in.

It was 9:30, and my heart was beating so fast it seemed like I had run a 100 meter race. My parents and I were waiting for the results. We all had our nervous faces on. As Dr. Rated entered he just started and broke the silence and he came out and said that I have Leukemia. While I was listening there were tears running down my face. My parents were shocked, speechless and very scared.

Dr. Rated explained that I had a tumor growing in my left leg, and that the tumor caused me to be diagnosed with Leukemia. The California hospital did not carry the surgery I had to take. The best hospital was in Canada called Sick Kids and was located in Toronto.

My parents took me out for dinner to settle my situation. They did not know what to say, we all agreed to moving to Toronto, and would become Canadian citizens for the year and when I was finished my surgery and treatments there then I would come back to California and put my life back together again. That was the plan for the next year of my life. I agree I would disguise myself to look different so no one would recognize me.

A week had passed and I have backed my personal belongings and my parents have to. Later on today my best friend was coming over so I could break the news to her. Taylor was 13 like me she had light, light blonde hair with bright blue eyes. She was there for me while I was beginning to be a singer.

Taylor arrived and I sat her down and told her everything. She was upset to have to say goodbye, we cried for so long and I didnt think there were enough tears in my body. After me and Taylor said our “good byes”, saying goodbye was like a cat with no home we would be alone. I gave Taylor a best friend necklace, so she will remember me forever and ever.

The week passed and I said my final goodbyes and I was ready to leave for Toronto. As I was sitting on the plane I saw the California beaches and I knew I would be leaving them but I would be back.

When I arrived in Toronto it was different, and very cold. My family and I got our luggage and left for our new home. Once we got settled in I went to the Toronto sick kids hospital. I was introduced to my doctor his name was Dr. Naya
