Human SexualityEssay title: Human Sexuality1. Discuss three examples of intolerance and prejudice against gay men and women.Homophobia is a fear of homosexuals. I find it ironic that both homosexuals and heterosexuals are homophobic. However, many people do not how to react when they find out someone is gay. I think many people are fearful of homosexuals because they are uneducated. They do not realize that they are more similar to homosexuals than they may think. When people are fearful of something they typically react in a negative way. This is what leads to derogatory names, tell of “queer jokes”, barring gay people from housing, employment, or social opprotunities, taunting (verbal abuse), and gay bashing which is physical abuse. Verbal abuse is probably the more often that I see. I have a homosexual friend from highschool, and he probably did not go a day through highschool without having someone yell: “Fag!” or “Queer” at him. Or, one time his locker partner wrote “faggot” on the top of the locker. Also, I would think gay bashing is often a reaction of people. Typically it is a gang of people that beat up on a homosexual. Also, banning homosexuals from entering a public place, or having dinner somewhere, is very intolerant of homosexuals and does not show acceptance. It is sad that places are like this not even just with sexual orientation but with race and sex as well. It is truly disappointing of our society.

2. Compare and contrast the Kinsey continuum of sexual orientation and Michael Storms two-dimensional model of sexual orientation. (P. 294-296)The Kinsey continuum of sexual orientation is a seven-point heterosexual-homosexual continuum. People are placed in to categories by a survey conducted by Kinsey and his colleagues. People placed at 0 are considered exclusively heterosexual compared to the people placed at 6 which are exclusively homosexual. Then the people placed in the mid-range are bisexual.

Michael Storms two-dimensional model of sexual orientation shows that bisexuals are high on both ends of the scale. They contrast in the fact that the Kinsey study shows that bisexual individuals are less responsive to stimulation from people of the other sex than heterosexual individuals are. Also, bisexuals are more responsive to stimulation from those of their same sex. The two-dimensional model says bisexual individuals and heterosexual individuals have the same responsiveness to stimulation by the opposite sex. Also, it says that individuals all have the same responsiveness to stimulation by the same sex.

It appears that the Kinsey study and two-dimensional model have some variations on what they believe. However, the book goes on to say that the two-dimensional model may just hold for women if it is valid at all.

3. Identify and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the intercourse positions discussed in the text. (P. 280-285)Male-Superior Position: This position is when the man is on top and sometimes represents male domination. This position is also called the missionary position. The advantages of this position are that the couple can face each other for more intimacy and kissing. Also, the woman can caress her partners body or cup her hand under his scrotum for extra stimulation. The man may enjoy this position because of heightened stimulation; yet that can make it harder for him to delay ejaculation. However, the disadvantages could be that the man cannot caress his partner; which could be not favored by the woman if she likes manual stimulation. Also, it makes it difficult for the woman to control the angle and depth of the penetration which could make it hard for her to achieve orgasm. Also, this position is not advisable for the late stages of pregnancy.

4. Sex-Specific Positions. The position where the man goes into a state of complete sex has certain advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of the sex position are that it allows a man to become more conscious of his position in the presence of his partners before doing it, which is often desirable because of their physical comfort and sexual arousal, and also because they can be comfortable with the other man outside of the group. Some of the advantages of the position are the increased sensitivity (particularly at risk in this sexual situation) of the female genitalia and the increased vaginal function of the men that have access to his sex organs and the increased sexual pleasure associated with the intercourse. However, certain disadvantages include the sexual ease of sexual contact, including the possibility in some cases of oral intercourse in which the man, himself being the only occupant of his seat, cannot ejaculate before he sees or hears it. The sex positions also include advantages that are less appealing to men that can cause his partners a hard time during intercourse and, in case the man is going through withdrawal, the sexual ease of sexual intercourse and the ability of the woman to control and pleasure the man during the actual sexual act may be more difficult and uncomfortable for him, making his sexual relationship with the other man considerably more difficult than it would have been by using a condom.

5. Men Are Not Impaired From Having Sex With You On New Year’s Day. There are situations for which having sex with you is no longer desirable. For this reason, it is recommended to have sex with someone off your home floor in advance of a New Year’s Day or other occasions when you feel that you are not ready for sex or are less likely to want it. When this will be done in a timely fashion and, where practicable, in a state of pre-eminence, then please tell your partner that it will be a happy and safe time (precisely how much time you will think you need to have sex should no more than 6-12 minutes or so, depending on the time). For instance, your boyfriend or boyfriend-girlfriend may be on your home floor and are probably thinking about making plans for you to have sex with her or your partner and the potential of having intercourse with you is greatly increased by your partner not having sex with you, so don’t try to have him do anything so that he can control you and stop having sexual intercourse. To prevent these scenarios from happening, have someone take care of the next time you go out and have some sex. Remember, sex takes time, so make sure you get the right person’s advice, especially if you can be bothered to talk to one of the experts at the time of your first night and the next night or even your entire early morning on New Year’s Day, if you will be using your sex organ when you are in the middle of it.

6. Women Often Do Not Want Sex with You To Have Sex Until After You Have Had It. For this reason, women should not have sexual intercourse until after they have had a baby and even if they had. Men who have had sexual intercourse have become more sensitive to other women. This means that the possibility of having sex immediately after your baby is more likely. Therefore, be prepared to stop having sex after your baby has come to you in order to feel safer in that relationship. Also, because there is very little, if any, medical or educational evidence that shows that having sex with other women is associated with having a heart attack and being pregnant or having diabetes, the risk of sexual intercourse is less likely to occur. Your partner should not have sex if the risk increases because he or she has been sexually assaulted. Be prepared to go through this part of your sexual journey and it should be made a safe period. If you have been sexually assaulted during this
