Dim Light or Bright Light
Dim Light or Bright Light
The theory that I tested is dim lights make my vision blurry and sees black floating dots. I believe replacing a lower watt light bulb with a higher watt light bulb can reduce the blurriness with my vision. When I enter a dim room, my vision is blurry, and I start seeing little black floating dots. Dim lights make my eyes very fatigue and I feel like my eyes are straining to see the work I need to perform throughout the day. I brought this to the attention of my co-worker and informed her that if I switch the light bulbs in the office, this would decrease the blurriness, and floating dots. I would ask maintenance to replace the lower watt bulb with a higher watt light bulb and I believe this would reduce the blurriness, and I would not see the black floating dots. Once I got home, I wanted to see if this informal method would work before I return to the office. Once I got home, I replaced one of my 40-watt bulbs with a 100-watt bulb in a lamp to try this experiment. I tried this with a small lamp and yes, the higher watt bulb worked. I did not have the blurriness or saw the black floating dots, I was able to see things more clearly, and the room was brighter. After returning to work, the dim lights was replace with a brighter light and this helped me throughout the day. Being in a dim room is evidence for me to get headaches. This is strange because most people get headaches with brighter lights. Being in a bright room reduces the strain and tension on my eyes. Straining your eyes to see can start a person to have headaches and migraines. I thought I might need to get glasses because of the blurriness and seeing black floating dots. I started having this problem after my laser eye surgery. I proved to myself that a brighter light in an area reduces blurriness and not seeing black floating dots.

The research method I used is a humanistic method. This is similar to Carl Rogers work. This method
