Managing People
For this assignment, I will research different models of organizational change and choose 1 model. I will describe the principals and foundation of the chosen model. I will explain how the model is used in organizations. I will discuss the models strengths and weaknesses. Lastly, I will use an example of how the model is applied and provide recommendations for when this model should be used to address organizational change. (Colorado Technical University Online, 2013).

They are many different models of organizational change which an organization can utilize to deal with the ever changing organization environment. There are pros and cons for each of them. After researching different change models, I believe the 3 change models that could address the conflict in the scenario of unpleased employees are Lewins Change Management Model, McKinsey 7-S Model, and lastly the 5Ps Model of Dr. Pryor, White, and Toombs. After consideration of the final 3 Models and more research it is my opinion that the 5Ps Model would address the current needs of the organization.

Principles and foundation
The 5Ps Model developed by Dr. Mildred Golden Pryor, J. Chris White, and Dr. Leslie A. The first P which is purpose identifies the overall mission of the organization which includes its visions, goals, objectives, and strategies. This is the first step in implementing any change. Upon determining the purpose of the organization one is able to determine the strengths and weaknesses within the organization and is able to identify the key indicators of the need for change. The next steps include the second and third Ps; principles and processes which serves as guidelines in which the organization should conduct business which includes ethically, with values and integrity within the organization and should align with the purpose. The fourth P or people are the active components of the change management model and should be organized in a manner that is consisting with the former 3Ps. The last P performance is monitored, measured, and used as a basis of progress, as well as implementation of change. (12 Manage, 2013).

Organizational use of Model
Organizations could use the 5Ps for Strategic Management, Quality Management, Organizational Assessment, or Change Management. Utilizing the 5Ps Model for strategic and quality management enables managers to identify strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities, mission, goals, objectives, and strategies. It enables managers to better develop teams to develop core values. It allows management to better determine and list all processes and the owners of them. It enables management to determine the level of employee empowerment, self-direction, appropriate
