Specific situations and atmospheres require mixed characterized management in order to achieve efficient ambitions. Moreover, to motivate people and alleviate crises need. From my opinion, there is an interesting article, “Leadership That Gets Results”, which mentioning 6 basic leadership types(Goleman, 2000) as following: The coercive style can easily adopt the phase “Do what I say” to clearly descript itself, it is the least effective in most crises by the reason of inflexibility and making followers feel disrespected. However, this style of leadership can be very effective in some special situations. For example, in a natural disaster and having a problem with a huge crisis.   The authoritative style can take the phase “Come with me” to be the explanation of its style. Its aim of this style is to give a freedom to followers to think and present their solution by themselves. The example that will suitable for this management is when the leaders have to work with the team of experts who have more acknowledged or experienced than she/he is.The affiliative style has the attitude “People come first” which allow followers to have lots of freedom and it greatly increases moral among a business. This style of management can cause poor performance by the reason of uncorrected decision from followers. Nevertheless, this style is appropriate in some period such as when companies want to build team harmony and bond people together.  The democratic style is to giving followers a voice in making decision, as an organization is usually flexible and having new idea generally. For example this style can be useful when a business need to make a massive important decision but it should carefully process this working because it may create endless meeting and confused among workers if they feel leaderless. The pacesetting style has the hallmark that leaders set the high bar of performances and some of leaders even have the mind set of “If I have to tell you, you’re the wrong person for the job”. This style can efficiently motivate people and drive a business moving forward fast for instance, if workers can handle and accept the pressure, the job will be reached to the success easily. In contrast, some workers may feel overwhelmed by the demands of perfect. The coaching style is pointing more in developing individual workers rather than immediately working on tasks. This management style works well if followers aware their weakness and have an idea that they want to improve themselves. Nonetheless, this style may be not effective in some situation such as if that person does not feel like they need the change anything, they aren’t willing to do the job.  Goleman, Daniel. (2000).
