(This is me babbling along and Im merely 16 years old, so be nice with the judgements. *smiles* I did get a perfect score and my professor actually scorned me for it. *sigh*)

Real
Everything is real. Everything is nothing. You might be asking yourself, how could you touch something and it not be real? In my dictionary of theories, I found under realism that “the physical world has a reality separate from that of the mind”. In my essay, I will attempt to share with you my “feelings” about the concept of matter being real.

When I was at the age of five, I started receiving this most peculiar “feeling”. My mother remembers clearly and states, “. . . You would turn around, while I was driving us home, and tell me, ÐMommy, Im having my feeling again!” As I grow older, my understanding of this “phenomenon”, or, rather, a chemical flaw inside my brain, has sharpened.

My “feeling” always occurs at the most obscure of times. I could be checking the refrigerator for ice cream or looking over the football field in my fathers welding shop. I never tell myself to undergo this “feeling”, for it is simply random.

“Feeling”. Being immersed in it is pleasant, yet confusing. Physically, Im in delight. My body seems to turn numb, and I can barely feel the ground beneath me. Mentally, I am befuddled. Everything around me is alien, and the concept of “realness” seems improbable.

I have once believed that “something” is trying to reach out to me. To tell me that everyone has a veil over their eyes, which must be lifted. Of course, eyebrows have been raised at this statement, but maybe they need to lift their veil as well? Maybe Im just experiencing a bad case of dizziness, or possibly Im just an impractical teenager.
