In our day to day life many things come up, but it is important to set times to accomplish our goals. You can set a schedule, for study time and homework. Your friends may go out and do fun things all the time but as a student, you have to put school first above certain things. It is good to set a timeline so you can stay focus. Setting a timeline is also good to see your progress. Seeing your progress will make your goals more real and should give you more motivation. As an adult and a college student you have to take your studies seriously. You do not want to waste your time or money on college courses, if you dont apply yourself and take your studies seriously. You have to learn how to pick your battles.
When you sign up for your first classes, it never crosses your mind that you may fail. You make that decision to go to college and earn your degree. From the first class you sign up for all you see is success. If you dont apply yourself like you should, you will fail at college. You cannot earn your degree on your own; it is up to you to ask for help. You and only you have to want to be successful in college. Accepting that you choose the direction for your life is a way of accepting personal responsibility (Lawson). It is easy to get side track, and lose sight of your goal. When you enter college you are an adult, you have to take responsibility for your actions. You attend college from a range of 2-5 years usually; you dont want all that time to be waste. You dont go to college thinking the worse. You are your own best cheerleader to get the job done. You have to have personal responsibility to be successful in college, when it comes down to it if you fail as a student, you cannot blame anyone but yourself. You want success, not failure!
There is no set time to finish your degree, but you also dont want to spend more time in college than you have to. The colleges give you an estimate of how long it should take you to finish a Associate, Bachelor, and a Master degree. That estimate does not mean that is how long it takes you to graduate and earn your degree. Some students take longer and for some students it takes a shorter time. It depends on your dedication, strive, and how responsible as a student you are. As a student you control your success rate. It depends how focus you are as a student on your own success rate. So when I heard I needed a C course, I said oh well, but that is my degree. And they said go for a degree, but I had not heard a requirement on how much and how many credits that would cost. So you will learn to deal with the tuition costs, the debt, and other things that go along with that. It is important for you, it will change you day to day, but it will also change your future. The problem here is, you will be leaving your life up to the individual, and your family to choose you, not your education(). In no way do you want to make yourself any less special. All that is required is the decision and decision to leave your life up to you. You will come to a place where you will be satisfied, as you will be the one who will take care of you.
You have already been told that, so your life will be better at the university.The College does not tell you how long you can do this. It tells you how much you are able to do by choosing that one area of life where YOU are not.
