Database Analysis PaperEssay Preview: Database Analysis PaperReport this essayDatabase AnalysisA database (DB) is like an electronic filing system. Information is filed in an organized way so that a computer application can be used to look up the information quickly and easily. Database analysis is the undertaking of examining each component of data supplied. Analyzing data requires using analytical and logical thought processes. Examples of some of these processes are data mining and business intelligence.

Database application software is something that most of us have probably used at one point or another. This is because the majority of database applications utilized are geared towards and used by businesses, offices, and home offices for things like mailing lists and product descriptions. A few database application examples used are Microsoft Access, DB2, and Oracle.

One way database support can enhance business operations is by providing businesses with vital information about the people they do business with quickly and accurately. Microsoft Software is what is used where I work. I was not able to find out exactly which software package they use I only know that it is Windows based. It is used to keep track of employees and suppliers.

Since this is a small business the owners say they like to keep things simple. Because I am not able to have detailed access to their overall database setup I am going to have to use the information I have to project what improvements I would suggest to them. The first improvement I would suggest is an upgrade to the most current Windows Application Suite such as a Microsoft Office bundle. Suites offer user interfaces, which would allow users to share database files for example. I dont see the need to install enterprise software due to the fact that the business is small. I also wouldnt suggest enterprise software because of the owners request for the simplest database applications possible with the most minimal need for professional IT maintenance upkeep. By staying up to date with their database software applications they will reap the benefits of being able to access their business data in a more streamlined and faster way.

I can see why the business owners would be excited to get a comprehensive view of all their database needs without having any further assistance from a private company.

As of today I have 7 Microsoft Azure customers, including the customer who is also using Office 365. The other 5 customers include both large businesses and small businesses. I would recommend to all of you that you check out all of the below improvements including the latest versions of the Office Tools package.

I would suggest all new and upgraded versions of Office and Office Professional for Windows clients. However when looking at these I usually do not consider upgrading to a new product. If you’ve managed to get your Office services installed you should be able to save your customers time using these improvements.

I would suggest taking a look at the new Office tool suites. By default the Office tool suites of Office are quite lightweight and you can configure any of them to be a work set for you. By combining a Microsoft Office suite with a custom suite (AOP) I think they can become something of a “go to” tool for those who don’t have the latest versions of an existing suite. However, I have noticed that the tool suites of Office are still pretty lightweight in terms of support. For enterprise clients they are designed to work well and give the users experience of Office with full support. If you do manage to have a Microsoft Office solution that is compatible with Office for Windows that’s great as it gives users the same experience regardless of software and is a nice feature. In the Microsoft Azure space there are a few other tools that I’m not using any more as it would be a bad idea to start your enterprise using these tools too much.

I would strongly recommend using a separate Microsoft Office suite and switching to a Microsoft Word or Excel for business. If you do have separate Microsoft Office suites or your company does not provide your customers with these tools then I would also ask if you would like to move to Microsoft SharePoint SharePoint for the purpose of working locally on your personal and corporate cloud.
