Describe each stage in the creative process using Ch. 5
The first stage is searching for challenges that need to be sought out form a problem or issue. The issue at my current job is that the customer never has room for extra displays. We have to think ahead and tell them we are giving you this product at a special price so you can pass this on to your customers. This helps in getting extra space in certain stores.

Second stage is expressing the problem or issue. According to Ruggiero, V. R. (2009, p 105), “The objective in this stage is to find the best expression of the problem or issue, the one that will yield the most helpful ideas.” In problem solving if an issue is to determine all the factors pros and cons which will help you decide what needs to be done to proceed for an answer to the problem.

Third is investigating the problem or issue. Searching the past of a problem or issue and looking for new ideas to fix the problem. “Research the problem by gathering all information possible obtaining new observations, interviews of knowledgeable people.” (Ruggiero, 2009, p 105)

Fourth stage is to produce new ideas. Generate new ideas so that you can take action on the problem or issue. From this stage he or she will get enough ideas to solve the problem. This process is the critical thinking process in evaluating the problem or issue.

Search for a personal challenge. Explain how you used the techniques to develop curiosity in your search (see Ch. 6).
Express the problem created by this personal challenge (see Ch. 7). Refine your expression of the problem by considering multiple perspectives and deciding which expression is best. Include both the initial and the refined version. Justify your revision.

Investigate the problem by obtaining necessary information (see Ch. 8). List the questions must answer to understand the problem. Identify a source of information to answer each question.

Conclude your investigation with a thorough explanation of the problem, including answers to each of the questions you identified.
Produce ideas toward solution of this problem (see Ch. 9). List all of your ideas–whether they are ridiculous or serious is not important.
Discuss the two ideas that you think are the most imaginative, original, and positive potential solutions to the problem.
