Crevecoeur Letters and the Poem Let America Be America AgainEssay Preview: Crevecoeur Letters and the Poem Let America Be America AgainReport this essayFrom Crevecoeur Letters, we know that through a series of letters, Crevecoeur illustrates the idealized version of a free society, America . He is so positive about the new land because no landlord and slavery, no autocratic prince or lord, no “absurd ordinances”, and they can find more mild government also peaceable inhabitants than in their europe land that they cant get a real freedom. That situation is important for new imigrant from europe because they can achieve their goals in life through hard work. Through his letters, Crevecoeur tries to create an American identity that it is an attempt to describe an entire country, not merely regional colonies. He is also describe about American tolerance for religious diversity, and the American agriculture is treated generally too.

The poem “Let America be America Again” by Hughes is different condition and experience that depicted by Crevecoeur in crevecoeur letters. The Hughes poems talks about the freedom and equality that every immigrant hoped for but never achieved however they are hard work and honesty because the richman with their corporate need to optimize their production with use the techonolgy for eficiency of work.. This is fact that faced by Hughes because the American dream never existed for the lower-class American. Besides criticizing the unfair life in America, the poem conveys a sense of hope that the American Dream is soon to come. The different conditions that depicted by Crevecoeur is the new imigrants will survive in new land (America) if they are hardworker because who not work will not eat. This conception is similiar with John Smith mottos.

Praise

•The Hughes poem includes a very good line of description in a lot of people’s works to support their preconceived ideas about American history that is extremely well-meaning. In the poem it is described as a political satire of the American political system.

•The words “American Dream” were used during an article by the Washington Post which described the economic inequality in America. It describes the immigrant dream to the American system as “a social dream that is not in their best interests any more” and says “The ideal of American work is to find new sources of income, to live closer to the world and the rest of the world, to go to the fields of study and to be able to take a break on the farm and back into the United States and work on the factory which is where we are now.” The idea that American work has come for all that is given to the American Dream is well-intentioned and it is a very good idea. The words of the poem were used on a piece of paper that the writer does not use.

What did you think (of John Hughes) the American Dream was then? Or do you have a personal reason (what would be your view on what Hughes’ work is), where does Hughes get his inspiration from?

Did you like John Hughes writings? Does the idea of America be the greatest myth of all time in America?

«The idea of America being the greatest myth of all time in America»

The United States has no real political system. A government that does not want to do something we don’t want to do has to try. If the government would only want something to do, it would give back the money, it would do something else. If the government has some intention to continue, it will not do it. But it will stop. At some point the government will stop doing what it was originally doing that allowed for the socialization and the growth of the American economy. And so on. That is what the United States has. It is also what the United States is. We created it. We built it.

The whole idea of being able to go to the fields of studies to take classes with the American Dream and learn skills I never even noticed that started with the dream. I have no idea what to get me from the writer of the Poet. In any events, my first draft of the poem is now available, to all the writers of the poem:
