Journal 7Join now to read essay Journal 7Cover songs have proven to be one of the most widely used tools in rock and roll ever since its birth. Artists have consistently remade songs that have previously been recorded by other artists; it’s a very common practice. There have been a countless number of covers in rock and roll’s brief history. There have been some songs that have been covered and there have been some covers that just completely butcher the original version. For the most part covers have had a positive impact on music.

When an artist decides to do a cover of another artists music it usually means that he or she likes that song and they would like to pay tribute to the original artist by putting there own little spin on it. It shows a great deal of respect when someone covers your song and even more respect when the cover is done well. An example of a song where the covered version is blatantly better than the original is when Jimi Hendrix covered Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower.” Dylan’s version is still a good song but when Jimi Hendrix got his hands on this song he put his own touch on it that filled the song with power and emotion. Adding a whole new element that gave fans a whole new sound to the song that they would have never heard if it weren’t

Jimi Hendrix’s “All Along the Watchtower
, this cover by Dylan was the perfect choice for Jimi Hendrix’ cover of all the tunes he was writing on the album during the early eighties. The song ‘all along the watchtower’ was written for a big album in 1990. Jimi Hendrix was a great songwriter and as such, he loved all of it. Jimi worked with a group of people all the time on a album before, but he spent many years getting used to working with all the different groups in both the band and the world. These people came together and he started to build up friendships, and in turn led him around the world so he could show people all of his love for this awesome song. Jimi Hendrix wasn’t only one of the great musicians there, this album also inspired many people and helped the younger generation of musicians. He went on to create albums for several years at some of the biggest labels before retiring and never writing songs for others.

We are still working on the original version of this song that Jimi created on all the albums. You can see the original version below. It’s a big song but I think the version you will now hear is still a good one. Thanks for viewing!\

Jimi Hendrix for putting his own spin on this album

When Jimi met Jimi Hendrix he wanted to play more of his own song. Now he has a good chance of that and he wants to do it to the point where nobody will see it.
When Jimi came into songwriting he was going crazy with every single song on the album. Jimi was the only one who knew how to break through as the last few tracks were all his own but there were so many tracks he had not yet thought through.

Jimi worked on all of the records on this album. Many of the songs that he wrote are inspired by Jimi himself, and many of his songs in the future are inspired by him.
