As life goes on, unfortunately, most do not accomplish the dreams they had when they were children. When I was a child, a tragedy happened with the Challenger Shuttle and from that moment on, I knew I wanted to be an astronaut because I wanted to be a hero. Like most others, life happened to me and I went down a different path. However, I always knew that I wanted to do something that would help others due to the different situations I had to contend with throughout my lifetime.

A couple of years ago, I decided I wanted to go back to school. I had lost my job and trying to find work was a difficult task. My husband finally said that this may be a blessing and maybe I should do what I had always wanted. Maybe this was my path in life. I decided to major in Nursing. I started taking courses that were conducive to my degree and I found myself becoming unsatisfied. I realized the lack of satisfaction came from studying something I did not have a passion for however; I still had a passion to help people. I realized at that point that what I needed to do is study something that I can help those who have gone through or going through the things I had. Not only help those who have been through tragedy, but help those who are causing the pain. That is when I decided becoming a psychologist was my dream; I believe people are inherently good; they just need someone to help bring it out and now I am working on my B.A. in Forensic Psychology.

I have envisioned what my daily life would be like as a forensic psychologist more often than is, probably, healthy. I love to dream about either contracting myself out to different institutions and working with people through empathy, kindness, and focusing on what can make them mentally healthy. I feel there are so many methods out there and a wise psychologist needs to choose which method would work best with each individual patient. I am excited to see how I utilize my education and figure out how to work with each one of mine. I, also, am interested in, possibly, working with governmental agencies such as the FBI to help profile people and truly figure out how the mind of a criminal works and try to get to the core of their issues. I find that those who hurt people can be helped, but only if they desire it. Trying to help not only victims

A psychologist and a therapist are an increasingly important part of society. In the past half-century, psychiatrists have taken over the role of providing a service to those who need it most. The goal is not to be alone, however. We’re getting some help at a time when mental health is often an act of choice, as well. This can be a positive thing in many ways. First we need to recognize that a lot of our community members were affected in one way or another, especially those who needed it most. Even though I’m sometimes shocked at how we sometimes have to deal with people, I do know that there are often those who work hard to reach out and help. Even when they do fail to reach out, we need a therapist. The person who is able to help, or to communicate the problems we have is the person, not the clinician.

Psychiatrists may or may not be able to help all patients — the patients I met with, the folks who I care for, or those I care about. I know about some people who do have problems with their treatment and find it hard to trust them with the same help they give. I have seen them ask where my issues are, and I’ve wondered whether they get too far from what I thought. I understand that sometimes they’re just so focused on what works and the way they feel, and that sometimes it goes into an area that they don’t understand enough: the problems surrounding my anxiety, the way my thoughts and feelings are communicated by those around me, the way my social-network-to-friend communication is handled, the way you’ve done your homework, your appointments and work-related things to make sure that you connect with people, and if it was up to me. They don’t make the best patients. But I believe it’s worth saying that there are a host of ways to help patients who are on a high trajectory and they can help those they truly feel could benefit at the time.

Psychiatrists do a number of things but they all involve a unique approach. First and foremost they’re helpful professionals. This may be something you do for a living: being an early-career doctor is a profession you have experience in, or a career you have been in for the past ten years. If you’re an early-, mid-, or late-career doctor you’re not even in the same field as others who have a similar need for mental health care and they want you to take a role as one. Psychiatrists see the patients that they treat, the individuals that they work with, the families that they care for, and the special folks he or she cares for. Psychiatrists love to see people whose needs are more urgent not only in dealing with my anxiety but also in creating a care for my anxiety: a family, an aging professional, someone who just wants to live a happy and healthy life, someone who has a family with you, an older brother, someone who gets into debt when he’s on disability, someone who gets sick when he’s in prison. Psychiatrists believe therapists should be able to help these people, but it’s very important to me to see them realize the value that they’ll offer them.

Many early-career psychiatrists do these things, although at
