One fast food chain can be McDonalds, which is huge. McDonalds was started in the United States and with its success within the States, it started to expand. Expansion wasnt only city by city but on an international level. McDonalds is in 119 countries today and take note that McDonalds does not serve the same food in every country. For example, in India beef is not allowed since it is sacred. Instead McDonalds uses chicken or fish hamburgers. When people start to enjoy a certain product/service as a whole, thats when the investors start to expand.

A film can be something like Titanic. Titanic was released internationally raking in a billion dollars in the foreign market in its 3D release. Titanic was made for the audience of North America, but after its huge success in 1997, it was then shown all over the world for various audiences to enjoy. The reality of the film and the fact that it was a historical event which was forgotten and brought back by the film makes the film a greater in other cultures.

We can take Michael Jackson as an international artist. Michael Jacksons music and lyrics was a huge hit in non-conservative states like California and New York for example. Eventually through the internet and television his music traveled to other countries. Although, some people in other countries did not understand his lyrics, his beats and style was highly noted.

Popularity has a profound impact on when and if an item from one culture is adapted by local people from another location such as pizza which is considered an Italian dish but was actually first served in America.

Many items from other countries have been adopted by the American public as something every American consumer is entitled to purchase and own such as Nintendos different gaming systems not to mention Sonys gaming systems. Even though these products were developed and built by Japanese companies most American consumers have a fit when they are not in stock or available for them to buy when they have the money to purchase them.

It has been my experience that most sales associates in electronic departments have been amazed by the attitude of over 50 percent of the customers that come into their departments looking to buy the Nintendo newest
