Evolution versus Creation Debate
An article written by the author Austin Cline discussing the theory of evolution versus creationism from the biblical premise received a rating as one of the nations top ten controversial topics published in 2011. This article was written from an agnostic/atheist point of view. Mr. Cline states that the theory of evolution should be taught in school vice creationism because creationism is simply a belief whereas evolution has the backing of many credible finds by archeologist and scientists who also back the teaching this theory in schools across the country. Many nations have resorted to teaching both in their school systems and requiring the student to learn, understand, and be tested on subjects.

Creation should be taught in school and the parents of student should take an active role in their childs education by choosing their childs curriculum based on their family values and beliefs. When the child reaches high school age the child should be responsible for choosing one

of the subjects on his/her own. Creation is not only a belief but a way of life for those of faith. Creationism not taught in the public school system denounces the countrys belief in GOD, when this country was founded on its belief in GOD. Fourteen signatures on the Declaration of Independence had doctorate of divinity degrees not only that printed on our currency which we use daily has the words “In God we trust ” on every large bill and all the coins as well. The believers of the world also think as the non-believers fight that they have the freedom of speech, well so does the believers of the world. Also based on the facts of the foundation upon which this great country was founded upon teaching creation in our schools cannot be blocked as which many fellow Americans, who are non-believers, tried to do this year and failed. Legislature in the United States find that this topic cannot be touched legally without opening up many controversial topics for review.
