The construction industry is one of the most dangerous industries with a high fatal accident rate. However, construction enterprises still emphasize cost and productivity more than safety. Moreover, safety management in construction projects is relatively difficult to control with their constantly changing conditions. In this course, we talked about safety in every single process of the construction systems and placed safety at the highest priority above other construction management issues.

This paper provides an indication of the positive and long-term impact of foreman-worker verbal communication on site safety level and safety climate. This paper provides an insight of a proactive approach to manage site safety and furthers my understanding of site safety. The key points may include the following parts:

Training foremen will be a beneficial and efficient way to improve site safety
On-site safety measurement
Research design methodology
Based on the nature of hazards and the property of the construction industry, in order to control site safety, construction enterprises need to adopt positive approach rather than waiting until after accidents or injunctions occur. In a long-term perspective, safety management measures helps to improve the work condition. A good safety climate will benefit the construction processes by scandalizing the behavior of the workers and decreasing the accident rates. According to this paper, foremen/supervisors have a strong impact on the behavior of workers thus increase the safety index, also improves the safety climate. Foremen who have received safety training tend to address safety issues more than those who have not. Moreover, the increasing of safety topics in daily exchanges does not affect production topics, which means there is enough space in foremen-workers communication
