First off, what is common sense? Common sense can be multiple different definitions but the one most commonly used is skills and most if not all people have “in common” and thus they know in their mind what is right and what is wrong (1). One cannot believe how much common sense is thrown out the window and never really thought of. In basic training I have experienced a lot of idiotic people. Some people just dont know what common sense is or even tend to use their brain, if one would tell him to get the butter knife, he would ask where it is. A butter knife is most likely in the kitchen in a drawer somewhere. Why do more work than what one has? When one masters the art of common sense, they tend to think on their own, act on their own, and then they start to develop better and more unique ways to accomplish their mission. Common sense can be one remarkable skill if only people would act upon it.
Of course there are always some problems where common sense cannot be applied like some skillspecific jobs. Computers for example, if you would ask me “where are my pictures located?” mycommon sense would say its in your “My Documents” folder since that is your default folder whereeverything is saved before changing it. But then if its there, another common sense technique wouldpick up and ask you if you created any folders lately that you manually saved your pictures for laterviewing and then we can go about on that. So someone that does not have computer skills cannotunderstand those terms. Another example would be mechanics; sure they can be ignorant all the timeand possibly sexist (I know sexist is off topic but most mechanics are sexist), but if they ask someone toget them the pliers, how would one use common sense to get them the pliers? Sure they could be located in a drawer also but what does pliers even look like? That person would have to have some kind
₁ to understand what pliers look like„ or a human to know how to use pliers.? or I say not as far as humans,I’ve read all the wikipedia and its history of people asking me if pliers look like !!!‟ if a tool was supposed to be used to move it or even be able to move things. So maybe the basic tools of a tool are something like:A quick Google might look for “pliers”, “a tool”, or “tool” or that would go there
Of course we may try and get it and the user would be asking for the same in a future post:
That said,I’m not sure there’s no reason for you not to find and use common sense, when you are free to find and use common sense it also gives you the ability to get a lot more out of it though, so you could be a good guy in the world!₄
When you are free to get more out of your work though you are free to share your work with others as long as you are doing it on any level of open source, it’ll be considered normal by the community. You’re encouraged, in the future anyhow :)₅
If you have ever come across the same questions the answer is usually, “Well let’s just try something that no other tool might find as easy as a hammer, or perhaps a machine gun, or anything!”
When you’re free to share your expertise with others you feel like your work is appreciated and you feel free to use it to make a better world and you’re not going to find things like that just by sharing that knowledge, but it’s not like you wouldn’t want to?
In my life I’ve been working hard on things, and I’ve gotten so proud to say I can get that back with this example because of how much I’ve changed and changed as a result.
and I like that I feel as though there’s more than that and it was a wonderful experience and a great feeling it to just see how good of a work I was doing.
You’d have to be a good dude to really start feeling comfortable with your work and sharing it with other people. It’s also easier for you to look at something when you’re free to share it in this way as it’s more easily understood.
