Knowledge is defined as and belief is defined as. Truth is based on whether it is objective or subjective. Objective truth means that only dealing with the way that things are and a subjective truth is based on what I believe. Subjective truth allows for a different set of facts Different experiences in life could play a role in whether or not two people would believe the same thing. When considering what we believe and what we know we have to consider relativism which is what may be true for one person, not always is true for other people.

If I had to think of a person in my life right now that loves me I would say my child and I would classify this as a belief I believe that she loves me because she cries when I am away, she hugs me daily and tells me that she loves me, and if I am feeling down she goes out of her way to make me smile. This among many other things is the reason that I believe that my child loves me. After looking through the evidence I can say that I do not have any real hard evidence or proof that she loves me it is not something that can be put onto paper. These things are the only real proof that I have that she loves me and that these things are actually based on my empirical knowledge and things that have been shown to me to be a demonstration of love. To someone else these things may not mean that someone loves you.

Descartes believed that everything in life should be doubted until it can be proved by hard evidence. The coherence theory of truth implies that all we have are our reasons for believing evidence, arguments. This theory simply implies that our truths fits into our network of beliefs and experiences.
