Cloud ComputingEssay Preview: Cloud ComputingReport this essayCloud computing allows companies to rely more on telework, remote work, and distributed decision making (Laudon & Laudon, 2011, p. 8). Cloud computing allows users to use files and applications over the internet. In cloud computing, a central server administers the system, monitors traffic and client demands to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Cloud computing is a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (such as networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be quickly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction (Garrison, Kim, & Wakefield, 2012, p. 62). Cloud computing allows users to save money on purchasing software and hardware by utilizing Cloud computing. Users are able to access their information at their convenience, wherever they are, as long as they have internet access. This is a great way to store data and access it no matter where you may be.

Majority of people are using Cloud computing today and might not realize it. Gmail, Hotmail, Skype or YouTube, these are some popular examples of Cloud computing. Some of the advantages of adopting this system would be lower cost required for data processing services and maintaining software, multiple users can access the software from anywhere that they have an internet connection, a physical storage is no longer needed, easily scalable so companies can add or subtract resources based on their own needs, and affordable pay structures that many include payment for only when utilized (“What Do You Need,” 2011). Some of the disadvantages would be less control when it comes to handing over your data and information, dependence on a third party to ensure security and confidentiality of data and information and long-term dependence on cloud host for maintenance of your information (“What Do You Need,” 2011).

The number of users of these services is growing. There are now tens of thousands of individuals using Cloud applications worldwide, a majority of them are employed by or based in the United States. There are also individuals for more advanced or complex personal care products such as surgical equipment or surgical equipment products. There are even companies that offer cloud services based on cloud compute. Cloud computing is a technology that helps companies to grow their global business. In most cases with cloud computing, the businesses use the cloud to achieve a significant amount of revenue from services their companies provide and manage to the customers.

In the past, the cost of such services was often estimated for a given size and/or business in many cases to be between $500 and $1,000 a year in some cases. However, on today’s day and night it’s less than $1,000 or $3,500, so it’s a very small price to pay for a large portion of the service. Many of our customers, especially those in our small office building, rely heavily on cloud services even though they use many different technologies and different data centers. In addition, our customers have a real choice of cloud computing applications, which are available from vendors, and the software required by cloud providers and providers in these applications are far less expensive to maintain and extend and that means that customers are prepared to pay very reasonable for the quality and value of cloud computing applications (for example, a typical US business owner in this situation would pay between 90% and 90% for their primary cloud computing applications!).
