Product ServicesEssay Preview: Product ServicesReport this essayI do not personally suffer with M.S. but I know too many people personally that suffer with the chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the central nervous system (CNS) – the brain, spinal cord, and nerve fibers to the eyes. There is no cure for M.S, but there are medication out that helps to subside the symptoms and help with patients having a regular life. Everyone experiences the symptoms differently and in different combinations which are: Vision problems; Numbness in arms and legs; Muscle weakness and uncontrollable shaking; Paralysis; Vertigo; Fatigue; Difficulty with speech; Bladder and Bowel dysfunction; Depression; Hearing Loss; and Itching.

I have found several other people who have not developed the disease, yet have had the symptoms but have experienced other debilitating experiences with this condition. I know a few who have reported some of their symptoms to their doctors which is a shame, especially after a great deal of research and research, and many thousands of people around the world who have to deal with the condition. The important thing is that their doctors are clear about why they need this treatment, and they’re right and they’re not only correct with what the physician tells them but are very aware of what their individual circumstances mean for them as a doctor, their patients and their care. I would just like to thank every other patient who has expressed support for M.S., and my family who has supported me. The story of each of them is truly an incredible story.

“M.S. is a complex disease, and the cause or causes of MS are unknown, but MS is thought to be an autoimmune disease. An autoimmune disease is a disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. Possible factors relating to MS include gender, genetics, ethnicity, viruses, and environment”. Even though there are many medications out there for the disease which has always interferon (injections) been out comes a new medication that is a pill form taken once a day and very helpful to patients that have relapsing and remitting (RRMS) multiple sclerosis. “People with this type of MS experience clearly defined attacks of worsening neurological function. These attacks — which are called relapses, flare-ups, or exacerbations — are followed by partial or complete recovery periods (remissions). During remission, particularly early in the course of the disease, symptoms improve and there is no apparent worsening or progression of disease. About 85% of people with MS are initially diagnosed with RRMS”. The new medication and new product that came out October 2010 is “Gilenya”. In the next couple of weeks I will go into the medication and what it does for the patients out here that are suffering through life not knowing that there is a new product out that can help dramatically based on the type of M.S. that they have.
