The tables are similar due to both agreed on similar answers such as family oriented, well educated, law abiding. Most of these descriptors match any persons good character rather than religion oriented.

The difference on the tables are due to a persons religious values or politics point of view; each person has a personal opinion on what they think is correct based on their upbringing and personal values.

There are a few vital reasons this how negative stereotype has been created and why Arab Americans are discriminated against in the U.S. One of the main events that ruined the reputation of Arabs around the world was the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center. On this day, 19 terrorists high-jacked four planes and crashed them in to the side of both World Trade towers resulting in the death of almost 3,000 people. This event significantly changed history and the way the Americans perceive this particular group of people. In addition, the media coverage on the war plays a big role in the perception of Arabs and Muslims. Every day on the news Americans hear about bombings from suicide bombers and others that have caused the deaths of many American soldiers and have destroyed countless cities. These actions and events create the belief that all Arabs are terrorists and are dangerous to our society.

Christian Americans are stereotyped in American society as well. They have been conceived as being very preachy, hypocrites, against scientific research, and overly controlling of women. It seems that these stereotypes are intensified by the actions of certain celebrities
