As a business grows, it is natural to explore new markets for expansion. Ignoring the international marketplace is not an option; it contains many valuable, viable options for global expansion. Region Analysis
Regional Alliances and Economic Integration
The allies or friends of China are in the regional area around the borders of the country. It is a known fact that China and Russia are allies. In addition to this coalition, others include “South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Pakistan…also North Korea, Taiwan, and Burma” (Thacker-Kumar & Campbell, 2009). China has grown economically because of different changes that took place between the way people communicate, and the vast amount of increased information. Because of these recent changes, economic power shapes the results of foreign policy outcomes. For this reason, China classifies itself as a conservative major power.

Physical Environment and Effect on Trade
The physical environment of China in the beginning, was very dry, mountainous, and desert like. China had integrated cites but did not have a clear connection from one city to another. This made trading nearly impossible. However, because of modernization “foreign trade and technology provided favorable conditions for coastal areas to regain their role in helping develop the modern economy of China” (Sen-Dou, 1981). The creation of deep water berths allowed China the ability to haul freight in the amount of 10,000 tons or more. The increase in ports allowed industrialization to increase and caused exported material and substances to increase.

Political Stability
The current day political stability of China remains questionable. Barry Eichengreen, a professor of economics and political science, states that the Chinese government must show, “…its ability to deliver improved living standards and increased economic opportunity to the masses” (Picerno, p. 1, 2011). China needs to improve any potential trouble areas. They could branch out more and not only focus on domestic economic development. Expanding the target marketplace for China could very well help to improve the lasting outcome of success
