Chief Seattle, I do believe that you and your people cherish your land very much, and it has many values attached to it. This is the same reason why we want to buy your land. My people and I would love to experience the greatness of your land. Chief, this offer is not to pay you off, but a privilege for my people to experience the greatness of your land.

My people and I understand that the earth is your mother and it is part of you and your people. The earth would be our mother too if you sell your land to us. My people and I are not here to take from the land or to conquer it but we are here to make it a better place for us all. We have seeds of different kinds of trees and flowers that would be planted all over the land to beautify the land and to create habitats for living organisms within the land. I promise you Chief, no one would be allowed to cut any tree on the land and our children would be taught the culture or customs of the land to appreciate your customs.

I also know that the waters in the land signify the blood of your ancestors which protects you. Do you not think we need that protection too? Of course we would love to be protected by your ancestors, which is why we would bring our most advanced team to clean these waters so we can drink from it as well. My team and I would create gardens of different flowers which would attract people to these sites and to purify the air as we know the air is very precious to you and your people. Chief, I also promise you that anything that could poison the air like poisonous gases from manufacturing companies would not be built on your cherished land.

Finally, it is rather unfortunate that some white men kill animals when they are passing by. I am sorry for this misbehavior but my people and I are different. We also believe that animals have life like us and we would treat them like brothers. Like you said, what is man without the beasts? We do not want to die of loneliness so we would protect these animals from getting in danger. We would build fences around the forests to prevent the animals from being seen by cruel train passengers. Also, the habitats of these animals would be preserved, and no one would be permitted to hunt these animals.

Chief Seattle, we would like to purchase your land because we believe what you believe. Nothing on the land would be changed, but it would rather be protected. Trees and flowers would be grown to beautify the land and to purify the air. The waters would be made clean for consumption because they are believed to be the blood of your ancestors. Animals would be our brothers, and they would be protected against cruel passengers and their habitats would be left secured. Selling your land to my people and I would mean expanding your culture and customs.
