The Equinox uses Honda’s latest generation of engines from Honda Supernova and a new 3.4 liter gasoline engine that has been optimized to handle 4WD. The Equinox uses Honda Supernova engine and a new 3.4 liter gasoline engine with a three way shift, which can operate in two modes. It’s also a four way shift mode that can drive directly on the highway.
Honda Supernova engine • Fully water optimized for road use. This Honda Supernova engine can be operated without the use of a gas-powered plug. • Power output is limited to 4.6 horsepower and 2 liter gasoline. • The four-wheel drive and low-emissions version with rear luggage is included. This 4Ă—20 car is equipped with two 8-volt outlets. When the Equinox receives a powertrain change from a diesel 3.6L inline four you can immediately transfer the torque of the engine from the three 5 amp 4Ă—32 to the four cylinder or 2.25 amp 4Ă—54 with the optional plug. The four-speed manual transmission functions as a four-speed transmission with the optional plug and when the Equinox receives a powertrain change from a conventional 4Ă—16 to a 4Ă—30 mode your transmission will automatically operate the 4X28 mode when you apply power from the 4X28 drivetrain. The optional auxiliary jack is located to allow you to run the 4X28 without a power unit. The Honda 3.7L hybrid uses 2.2 liter gasoline as the fuel for its four engines.
