Basketball was invented in Springfield, Massachusetts by James Naismith. On December 21, 1891 Naismith tried his new game on 13 rules based on 5 principles. Now there are few more rules to the game, more adding in every upcoming year, and the base rules have been altered to set a structured foundation for this popular sport. Basketball could be the only major sport that is American. This is a game that is enjoyed and played by all sexes and all ages all over the world in almost every country. This game is played from little elementary schools in recess all the way to professional paid leagued teams. Theres small amount of different ways you can score. The first is to make a basket in the large arc that extends past the free throw line. Any shot in this range is worth 2 points. Every shot made outside of the large arc is worth 3 points. If you are fouled while shooting, you possibly will go to the free throw line to get back your points. Each free throw is valued one point.

A bounce pass is simply what it is, when a player bounces the ball to another player, but only one bounce. An overhead pass is used to pass a ball to a teammate over a defender. An outlet pass is when you pass the ball to a teammate without looking at them to confuse the defenders. Finally, a behind-the-back pass is basically just throwing the ball
