Find ways to keep the team informed without slowing the process.
Meetings are necessary, but need to be limited and focused.
Do whatever it takes to achieve the goal
No excuses – just make it happen and make it happen NOW!
Challenge the organization on why it “cant” be done today.
Challenge individuals who are roadblocks, but dont cross the line of basic personal respect.
Speed and flexibility are weapons to success
Gather the best available data, make a decision and go. Keep a close watch on the results and dont be afraid to admit mistakes and change directions.
Processes are critical to running the company, but should not be an impediment to quick decisions and change.
ALL decisions should be based on what is best for the company and shareholders
No “pet projects.”
Be prepared to explain how decisions are aligned with the company goals to shareholders, managers, peers and subordinates. Using “senior management” as the answer is an excuse and is unacceptable.

Dont leave issues unresolved or strive for comprise. Drive to find the best answer for the shareholders, accept it and move on.
“Sandbagging” will not be tolerated
Good decisions can only be made with real data.
Data should not be manipulated to manipulate management.
Sandbagging is effectively the same as lying!
Demand Accountability, Responsibility, and Ownership to exceed the goal
If you own something, it cannot be someone elses fault if it did not happen. If you own it, you own the result.
It is your job to find solutions to achieve your goal within the boundary conditions of the companys overall goals. Use your manager to test ideas and make sure your solutions are aligned.
