Bystander Essay
Towering above, there are giants. They continue shopping and are careless of the child wandering beneath them. The child is pushed around, and for a while, no one does anything. Although it took time, finally, someone helps the child. As a bystander, one has the responsibility to help those in need, as pictured in this scenario. Bystanders have the responsibility to assist those in need both because it can decrease the severity of an outcome and because it is the morally righteous thing to do.

To begin with, when a bystander helps someone in need, this has the potential to reduce the severities of the occurrence. In other words, intervening in a dangerous situation can reduce the severity of the outcome as an entirety. A simple example of this includes the typical fight between two men. While a crowd cheers on the fight, strangers who intervene to stop the fight prevent the men from further injuring each other. Had the two bystanders not stepped in to minimize the conflict, the resulting outcome could’ve been worse. Thusly, a bystander’s responsibility to intervene in dangerous situations can end in an ameliorated outcome.

In addition, bystanders have the ethical responsibility to help those in need for the plain justification in that it’s the morally righteous
