Emerging TechnologyThe age of technology and computers has caused a tremendous shift in the way we do business today. Just a decade ago, innovations such as the FAX machine and the Personal Computer were state-of-the-art and considered cutting edge. Today, many businesses and their employees wouldn’t be able to function efficiently without these tools. Communications as we know it would almost cease to exist without email, internet, and e-commerce. We have gotten so accustomed to the presence of computers and services they provide that many of us don’t remember what it was like before this technology. Technology is still growing at an extremely rapid pace and if businesses and industries as a whole want to survive they must keep up with the advancing technologies. The introduction of the smart phone and tablets to the industry are already making changes to the way we conduct business and allowing us to have much more flexibility in the marketplace. With access to so many mobile devises I believe that one of the most important emerging technologies right now is cloud computing. I believe it will completely alter the way traditional business is conducted in the future.
The emerging technology that I found to be most interesting is next-generation robotics. For many years we have lived in a world where it was thought robots eventually would take over the business world and replace many employees. While today there are robots that are used in the business world, they are mainly limited to production and assembly lines. The robots that are currently being used in the business world are most bulky and large, which make them dangerous to their human co-workers. Most of today’s robots need to be separated by a cage in order to be safe. Robot technology is developing rapidly, making these machines safer by the minute. Emerging sensor technology is making these robots better able to comprehend and respond to its environment and job. Emerging technology is also making robots
to be better trained, more resilient to injuries, more capable of getting in and out of a building, and able to respond to changing climates. The rise of robot innovation and robotics in a wide range of industries continues to be critical to the security and safety of our nation and the people we work with. The growth in the availability of robotics products and services is particularly driving this growth. What about the robots that have dominated the robotics scene?
The popularity of the self-driving car and the increasing use of robotic systems, which include autonomous driving programs, has been growing even faster than many expected. In a case like this, that is not only dangerous for everyone as well as it is expensive, but it is also very dangerous because of the large number of accidents happening in this way. This is why many people want the use of robot assisted driving vehicles, which are not only self-driving, but also to drive around the city and have safe driving. It is therefore also necessary for the use of self-driving vehicles for those who need to share their travel. So as more and more people become on the road or use a self-driving car to commute, the number of accidents and the number of accidents causing severe injury will decrease.
