The BASF Group comprises subsidiaries and joint ventures in more than 80 countries and operates six integrated production sites and 390 other production sites in Europe, Asia, Australia, the Americas and Africa. BASF was established in 1865. Its headquarters is located in Ludwigshafen, Germany. BASF has customers in over 190 countries and supplies products to a wide variety of industries. Despite its size and global presence, BASF has received relatively little public attention since it abandoned manufacturing and selling BASF-branded consumer electronics products in the 1990s. BSAF has an Indian subsidiary called BASF India

. BSAF is the largest Indian company with a market cap in the US$20 billion and revenues of USD7 billion in the US-EU$9 billion range.  BSAF is owned by a consortium of Dutch sources including Rensselaer Chemicals – (ASF) Ltd. and Vitramos – (KSSO; KSSO SAI). Based in the Netherlands, BASF also operates both a mobile manufacture facilities and operates in three separate manufacturing facilities – the BSR, Vita and the BIS. One unit  is on call at the BASF headquarters in Lemberg, Germany. BASF offers a number of services, including: the manufacture of new BASF branded devices (CDR-B) for both mobile phones and mobile PCs. This unit is the “BASF of Germany”; a subsidiary of BASF-LTD Co, Vita, also manufactures and sells BASF mobile  devices. One of its leading suppliers is KSSO SAI, based in Viti, where, based on a series of long-standing partnership agreements between KSSO and two Dutch suppliers (KSSO Eben, BASF BSR and BASF KSSO EKV), BASF India is India’s leading producer of mobile devices. BASF India is also headquartered in Bangalore, one of India’s top 10 smartphone factories. BASF has a large presence in the developing world, particularly in India.   A long-standing partner in that emerging market is BASF India, a contractor to manufacture BASF branded devices by KSSO and Vita
BASF India is India’s leading supplier of mobile devices. Ahem, even in India there are some unheralded brands that are often known for offering their products based on the  of their subsidiaries. This is especially true in India where the likes of Nokia are being marketed by BASF .      In America, this is known as the “Fingerprint Industry”.  In India, this is known as the “Fingerprint Internet”.  I find it odd that the India government does not see this distinction.  To see if it is true that the number of mobile devices sold by BASF in America  has increased, we asked BASF chief executive Officer Derek Fagbew what he thought about the data collected by BASF India.  Fagbew seemed very surprised and puzzled: “We still get it. Let’s say our data is going somewhere in the US , but how are sales going to spread across that world? In that US and worldwide it is going to be extremely limited. Let’s say we have 40k phones in that market, but what about when we get to 20.000m? Now let’s say all those 100k  users make $100 per week. It is going to slow,” FagBew said.
The Data and marketing of the brand is a lot of work. BASF India  has made huge strides in the past years. On top of this, we are continuously learning about the BASF Group and collaborating on it. On

At the end of 2016, the company employed more than 122,000 people, with over 52,800 in Germany alone. In 2016, BASF posted sales of €70.4 billion and income from operations before special items of about €6.7 billion. The company is currently expanding its international activities with a particular focus on Asia. Between 1990 and 2005, the company invested €5.6 billion in Asia, for example in sites near Nanjing and Shanghai, China and Mangalore in India.BASF is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange, and Zurich Stock Exchange. The company delisted its ADRfrom the New York Stock Exchange in September 2007. The company is a component of the Euro Stoxx 50 stock market index.Current annual turnover with business-wise and country-wise break up.[pic 4]Distribution of revenue by region[pic 5][pic 6]Strategic fit of businesses:In about 70% of its businesses, BASF has a top three market position. They will add new specialty and solutions businesses through its innovation pipeline as well as acquisitions. They will, however, also continue to look for better owners of businesses that only provide a low strategic fit.Since 2010, they have divested businesses with sales of about 21 billion Euro and bought higher value-added businesses with sales of 5.5 billion Euro.
