Question 1: what is sustainability? How does sustainability relate to environmentalism?
Brundtland Commission define sustainable business as “business that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own need.” (page 432) Sustainability means that a company need to act responsible and should make sure that they are not making harm to the environment, so that future generations can live comfortable without having to worry about health risks or land that they cannot use because of erosion or contaminated soil or water supply.

Environmentalism seeks to improve and protect the quality of the natural environment through changes to environmentally harmful human activities. Sustainability related to it, because it helps to limit or reduce the amount of natural resources taken from the environment.

Question 2: What are several of the most important environmental issues now receiving worldwide attentions?
The most important environmental issues receiving worldwide attention are climate change, water, energy, land use and air pollution.
Question 3: Who has responsibility for addressing environmental issues?
In my opinion not only, government officials or companies who use huge amount of water or pollute the environment have responsibility, but everyone has responsibility for addressing environmental issues. As citizens of the world we need to make our own contribution for the world and try to save the environment.

Question 5: Should business and societies continue to focus on unlimited economic growth?
