Ethics can be negatively impacted by these technological advances and are threatened more today than previously. Technology has created a ehole new area of discernment for educational ethics.

Technology has brought marder society computers, the internet, cell phones, specialized function calculatore, online classroom, easier acess to databases, and even internet access through digital transmissions.

The greatest bane of the technology influx in the educational arena is the pressure on ethics issues. Cheating with technologicla assistance seems to be the norm rather than the exception. Reports from colleges, high schools and middle schools show concerns over the problem of cheating through technology or the ability to do so. Camera phones seem to be at the forefront with many of the current issues on ethicla dilemmas. “Already, in Australia and japan, camera phones have been used in both postive and negative ways..here at Gcc(Glendale Community College), it appears that we must know about the potential use of these new camera phones to massively undermine the integrity of our curriculm” Field(2004). Many schools prohibit cell phone use at the schools or even during the breaks of standardized testing. Camera phones cna be used to almost instantly photograph a test and share the questions or the answers with another student, either in the class or outside the class. The camera phone has become todays modern cheat sheet and can be used in silent mode for answer swapping and web access. This ease of use concern has even extended to the corporate world where worker privacy or company secrets can be exposed. With continuning technological advances, the cell phone has become an all in one device, taking on several roles in communication, photography, and gaming. However, a growing, more alarming, trend has also added cheating among the list Students using cell (2005). The cell phone has often been criticized as a disruption and a nuisance but has definitely become much more. The Boston Globes Lisa Kocialn reported in 2004 that the schools in boston were considering banning all types of cell phones from the classroom and that the state department of education was considering an amendment to testing regulations to prohibit them during testing.
