Greetings!
This week, I have read a variety of newspapers, but there was one letter to the Editor that impacted me most. It was from a woman in N.J. who stated: (read article..) This woman was obviously stating that abortions shouldnt be made illegal. Not only would women die from these unhygienic abortions they would turn to if abortions were banned; the women who are not ready to be mothers and make it through their whole pregnancy, would give birth and dump their babies in the garbage.

As we have been seeing in the news these past few weeks, children are being abused by their parents/step parents, and ultimately being killed. Despite all this, we still have people in the Supreme Court and the White House who are still fighting to make abortions illegal. If abortions were to be made illegal, the cases of child abuse/murder would triple or quadruple.

Instead of having commercials of make-up brand after make-up brand; stuff that only makes you feel good on the outside. The city should start promoting more birth control ads on television as well as hotlines that women can call to get advice or counseling on parenting, unplanned pregnancy, adoption, etc.

The majority of us know that there are many different birth control methods, many use them and many dont, unfortunately. If abortions were made illegal, it would only contribute to more child abuse/murder cases. Some women end up with an unplanned pregnancy and know they are not ready to be mothers; they go and have an abortion, end of problem.

We as a society, need to put a stop to the recent rise in child abuse cases. Innocent children die every day because most of us turn our eyes away when a child is being abused. There are two ways to decrease the amount of child abuse cases in New York City. One is
