How far away is the moon? Its about 250000 miles from the earth to the moon.
Where did the moon come from? When our solar system was forming, Earth was forming from many chunks of rock and icy material. A big chunk hit the Earth and knocked loose a big piece, which became the moon.

Why does the moon change shape? The bright part of the moon is the part that the sun is shining on. This is like daytime on Earth. The dark part is in shadow, like night on earth. Now the moon goes around the earth once every 29 days.

Can you tell how the moon will change?
Does anything live on a moon? I think there is nobody or anything living on the moon. If you plant a flower, it will die because there is no atmosphere. NASA has still not figured out ways to live
