Violence in the Community
Violence in the Community         Violence in the community is cause by irresponsible adults.   Today’s generation is filled with so many young parents who let they children control them instead of them taking responsibilities as the adult.   Also, the children openly engage in illegal activities such as gambling, smoking and stealing.   Parents engage theses activities, and children grow up seeing their parents take part in such activities, which makes them feel it is the right thing to do because they do not know any better.   Added to this, children take this learnt behavior into their school environment, and this may very well lead to violence among their peers.   For instance, they would steal drugs from their parents and take to school and sell to the other students. Furthermore individuals who engage in such activities have behavioral problems.Domestic Abuse in Barbados Domestic abuse is one of many social issues the society of Barbados is faced with today.   Domestic abuse is defined as a pattern of abusive behavior in many relationships that is used by one partner to gain control over another intimate partner.   It can take various forms that include, physical, sexual, emotional, and financial and threats of actions that influence another individual.   Added to this domestic violence is not only a psychological and social problem, it is indisputably a crime and perpetrators should be punished.   The number of women and children falling victim to domestic violence is one the increase and statistics show that approximately 30% of Barbadian households are affected by domestic abuse.   Also, it is shown that one in every four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime.

Children who are exposed to Domestic Violence          Children who are exposed to domestic abuse may become violent towards other individuals.   A child growing up in abusive households learns to solve his or her problems using violence they would have observed making it learnt behavior from their home environment.   Also children who are being disciplined by adults retaliate because of that built up emotion they would have kept inside for a very long time so they would just snap.   Added to this, individuals guiding them along the right path may be ignored and met with aggression.Contrast of Mr. Reid and Mr. Jones Teaching Styles Mr. Reid uses lots of visual aid in his class while Mr. Jones is more impersonal teaching style. Mr. Reid style of teaching gives students a better understanding in the subjects he teaches. He does this with video presentations and graphics as he carries on his lecturing. In Addition he allows students to interact with him by asking questions if they do no understand. Unlike Mr. Jones Students are not allowed to interact with him and he just comes to class and writes notes for the students to take notes. If students do not understand they cannot ask any questions because they cannot interact with him so he moves along without any explanations. Therefore, students prefer to be taught by Mr. Reid rather than Mr. John because they get a better understanding
