At&t’s Strategic and Operational Growth PlansAT&T’s Strategic and Operational Growth PlansDelphine GuytonUniversity Of Phoenix OnlineAbstractIn my paper, I will be discussing the strategic and operational plans for AT&Ts continued growth. Based on the information found in the companys SWOT analysis I will be taking a look at what AT&Ts growth plan means for the organization.AT&T has a clear growth plan ahead in both wireless, via international expansion, and in wireline, via U-verse.AT&T is expanding in a million different directions. AT&T is quickly growing its Wireline business behind U-verse. This expansion includes broadening its TV presence with DIRECTV and expanding internationally in Latin America and Mexico.Brian Nichols, (2015): Specifically, U-verse is growing north of 20% annually and accounts for more than 10% of the companys total revenue. I have come across a number of comments from others who have said that the U-verse is really a $100/month service that connects U-verse customers to AT&T, a service that will not disappoint even in my recent research. AT&T has been quite popular. However, this was not really seen. Many people felt that the number of US customers who use U-verse was shrinking. One commenter was skeptical about the U-verse growth plan, who thought that the number of US customers may come down, or perhaps become more attractive, over the next few years. AT&T is not likely to become a world leader, but it is taking a very small number of customers. In my research, I think that, given the large number of customers at home, AT&T’s plan could be a success. I also think that the network growth in both networks would make it very attractive to the large numbers of customers that AT&T has to work with. As of now, the only networks we have that are operating in our service, those are the ones that have been in existence since the beginning. While using U-verse has certainly changed the way we use our wireless, you do not have to invest in new wireless equipment, so it was possible AT&T’s network expansion plans started and continued well after it took over the market. In effect, AT&T had a vision of expanding a business with international growth. By investing in U-verse we could build it up, expand it, expand and continue it. For example from my research, one has to wonder where AT&T would have gone without this vision, and why they had such great success. It is hard to say for sure, but I am certain that AT&T would have kept the vision, which is to develop an international broadband service in the same way as AT&T, at its best. AT&T and I are going through the transition, as is the current business model. The current AT&T network is just not going to work. As of 2014, AT&T’s network was growing at 1.6% per year. At that time the total network in the United States, which was 25 million, was 1.1 billion watts. In 2015 AT&T is now 1 billion watts. This means AT&T is using 800 million watts to meet the 10th wireless subscriber base. The number of wireless subscribers has gone up over 7 million. And while they are not using US wireless equipment, they still use U-verse. ATS is having a huge success rate in the wireless market, and it is likely to keep growing that way even if the company had the money to ramp up its U-verse business for the next several years. The only network on which AT&T doesn’t have a success rate is the U-verse, because AT&T’s existing network is running in more and more countries around the world. Many of your customers may see the U-verse for what it is. To some degree these customers may be unaware of the fact that AT&T is operating under the name “Global Internet Service.” Many people don’t have the time or inclination to notice the difference in how US operators operate and connect. This has led many internet service providers (ISPs) to change their network offerings. The best known example of this is Netgear. Netgear’s net services included network aggregation, network expansion
