Abstract
The purpose of finding the effects of aromatherapy oils of the heart rate and blood pressure on humans is to figure out what aromatherapy oils do to humans heart rate and blood pressure. The way the student researcher found out the answer to his experiment is by testing human specimens at his local hospital. First, the student research will check the human specimens heart rate and blood pressure using the blood pressure monitor and note it on a piece of paper. Next, the student researcher will let the human specimen inhale some aromatherapy oil, rose incense to be exact. Then check the humans heart rate and blood pressure using a blood pressure monitor. Finally, the heart rate and blood pressure will be noted on a piece of paper and these procedures will be repeated for the next 249 human specimens. The results that the student researcher found were that aromatherapy oils do reduce the heart rate and blood pressure of a human specimen. So in conclusion, the student researcher could conclude that his hypothesis was correct and that the experiment was successfully conducted.

The effects of aromatherapy on the heart rate and blood pressure of humans. How does the aromatherapy oil affect the heart rate and blood pressure of a human specimen? In this particular experiment, the student researcher will explain the effects of aromatherapy oils on the heart rate and blood pressure of a human specimen.

The objective of this study is to help heal people will remedies made from several varieties of herbs. Aromatherapy is a healing art which roots lying in antiquity. It traces back more than 6000 years, since ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Persians, Romans, and probably Chinese used to burn scented flowers and herbs and enjoy aromatic bath, massage and skin care for curative and cosmetic purposes. A form of alternative medicine, aromatherapy is gaining momentum. It is used for a variety of applications, including pain relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function. Although essential oils are natural products, it is still necessary to follow certain precautions when using them. It is advisable that the public exercises caution and those consult a qualified aromatherapy practitioner before using aromatherapy for medical use. Essential oils are very concentrated and volatile. Improper use may cause burns, allergic reactions, headache, or nausea.

Aromatherapy is the art of using essential plant oils to promote and maintain general health and vitality. The beneficial properties of these oils make aromatherapy an attractive alternative and/or addition to the traditional allopathic treatment of many diseases and conditions. The inhaled aroma from these “essential” oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils can also be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing. Although some doctors doubt the efficiency of Aromatherapy, medical researchers have scientifically proved that Aromatherapy may produce both psychological and physiological effects. Aromatherapy benefits includes stress and headache relief, sleep improvement, mood boosting, hormones regulation, muscles relaxation, immune systems stimulation, blood circulation, skin diseases healing etc.

Essential oils are extracted through the chemical process of distillation from aromatic plants, flowers, herbs, woods, and fibers. These oils not only give the plant their scent, but they are also essential for the plants biological processes. Because of this many refer to the oils as the “life-force” of the plant. There are in excess of 70 essential oils in use for the purpose of aromatherapy today. Each oil has its own characteristic aroma and profile of therapeutic effects. Some are soothing, some are invigorating, some are believed to relieve mental conditions such as depression and anxiety, some are thought to have direct physical effects on organ systems, and still others are thought to possess antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. Those which are implemented for the treatment of pain include lavender, peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus, marjoram, geranium, marigold and others.

The researcher chose to this particular project because he felt the need to find out the effects of aromatherapy oils on the heart rate and blood pressure of a human specimen. The student researcher was also interested in this topic because the experiment involved humans and medicine which the student researcher is interested in.

If the student researcher lets a human specimen inhale rose incense, then the human specimens heart rate and blood pressure will decrease.
Variables
The independent variable of this experiment would be the Rose Incense and the dependent variable of this experiment would be the heart rate and blood pressure of the human specimen.
