Dear Sir/Madam,This email, and my attached resume, is in response to your job posting on your company’s website on November 15th. I would like to discuss your staffing needs for the job of violin tutor and how I might be able to contribute to your company’s objectives. As a holder of an Associate Degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Music Studies, my musical knowledge is extensive and rich. I first joined the Arts Program in Media Cultural and Creative Studies (Music Theme) at HKUSPACE Community College before completing my Undergraduate Degree in music at Baptist University. Both academic pursuits have significantly honed my violin playing skills, professionalized my performance level and deepened my knowledge with respect to music theories and the history and literature of music in different contexts and periods.
My work experience also demonstrates my suitability for the position. In the past two years, I have been a violin tutor at Parsons Music. I was required to plan, prepare and deliver individualized violin lessons, equip students for exams, teach music theories and report students’ learning progress to parents. Having taught many students, I have discovered ways to explore the students’ potential and interests, manage discipline in the classroom. I also interned at Warner Music Hong Kong Ltd. where I had the opportunity to assist in song production and interact with music producers and artists, which considerably enhanced my musical talent.
