Introduction: In this experiment, the amount of liver juice was differed as an independent variable to measure the temperature change that occurred, which is the dependent variable. Amount of hydrogen peroxide, the time when liver juice was dipped, amount of liver juice dipped, and the time when temperature was recorded were all kept the same as a controlled variable. The hypothesis that was assumed for the experiment was that if 2 drops of liver juice were added in hydro peroxide, the temperature will increase by 15 degrees. Since there are difference of temperature before liver juice was added and after it was added, it can be analyzed that there is a significant relationship between liver juice and hydrogen peroxide. It can be said that the liver juice, which acted as enzyme in this experiment had a role of increasing the temperature, increasing the rate of chemical reaction. Conclusion:My hypothesis for this experiment was that if 2 drops of liver juice were added in hydrogen peroxide, the temperature will increase by 15 degrees. Enzyme helps to fasten chemical reactions that occur in our body, and without enzymes, it would take more than 100 years to digest one piece of chocolate. However, one significant thing about enzymes is that they require specific conditions in order to work, which is pH 7 in this case for liver. When liver was exposed to hydrogen peroxide, the temperature rose as well as with bubbles occurring. It can be said that the enzyme which was in the liver juice had produced bubbles to hydrogen peroxide at a faster rate to act as an enzyme in this experiment. My hypothesis was strongly supported because like it was assumed before the experiment, the average temperature that rose was approximately 11 degrees, close to 15 degrees, referring to table 1 and graph 1. In addition, the temperature increasing as the rate of chemical reaction gets fast was also supported well.
