If everything was free, the amount of free time to partake in creative and positive pursuits would increase significantly. With the competition for food and material items eliminated, the animosity towards ones neighbor is hindered. I think everything being free would be a wonderful thing and I would like to live in such a world.

When people wake-up, and enjoy a large nutritious meal every morning, their overall feeling of wellbeing is noticeably more pleasant. Food production exceeds consumption by a large amount, and if all the food was free, a lot less would go to waste. Things like textbooks and learning software could unleash a torrent of information for young people to devour and benefit from. The desire to harm, steal from, or harass another wouldnt have much appeal if the abundance of the world was shared equally.

Some might believe competition is what makes the world go around. But, I beg to differ. A harmonious collaboration of people is superior to a cutthroat arena of competitors. A system in which everyone is attempting to get ahead is going to leave many behind. If everything is free, then what is the incentive for one to compete?

Given the chance, I would enjoy living in a world where everything was free. I could focus on higher pursuits like developing talents, strengthening relationships and forging new ones. My level of stress and feeling of subservience would be decreased and my power assist others would be increased. The days would seem longer, the amount of available options would seemingly explode exponentially. It would be a “dream come true” if everything became free.

If everything was free, a lot of things would change. I would view it as positive, the playing field would be evened, and the majority of people picked up and out of a strained situation. If I could make everything free, I would.
