Amelia Earhart: More Than Just a PilotEssay Preview: Amelia Earhart: More Than Just a PilotReport this essayAMELIA EARHART: MORE THAN A PILOTIn present days culture, a rebellious person is portrayed as somebody who does not do as they are told to, one that does not follow the rules. But, under certain circumstances, standing as a rebel can be a well-thought-of idea. Around the early 1900s, a woman by the name of Amelia Earhart became well-known for her successes, motivations, life and more. She was amongst the first female pilots. This brought her newly found fame and Earhart used that position widely. She turned out to be a great example for women in all places and made it clear that women should pursue their dreams and break gender barriers. With this visualization in mind, she unlocked many new doors for women of her time. Amelia made great differences and influences in society. (“Flying high.”) As a true supporter for women everywhere, Earhart went above and beyond aviation. She always made sure that her voice and opinions were heard. As a female pilot doing this, she continued on without accepting or caring for the criticism that may have come along. Therefore, Earhart is considered a rebel.

When Earharts name was becoming internationally recognized in the early 1900s, women had an insufficient quantity of rights and low outlooks. If a woman back then had a job it was typically being a nurse or factory worker. Women had a bar set low for them, and it took a crucial amount of time to raise it. People like Earhart greatly helped accomplish this. She overlooked the stereotypes and understood that she could do anything she set her mind to. This helped other women realize that they could do the same (Huso). It helped prove that they could do more than society had told them for years.

Amelia Earhart is recalled for her bravery, visualization of society, and great accomplishments. She has set many records and “written multiple best-selling books.” (“Flying high.”) “Amelia is most remembered for her strange disappearance in her attempt to make the 29,000 mile journey around the world.” (“Flying high.”) Her catastrophic crash is believed to have happened somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, but there is no evidence so this has never been formally verified. Earhart endeavored to challenge the odds and likelihoods and is greatly remembered for this, even if she had to pay the price. Earharts loss brought great recollection of her achievements and how she helped make a change for women.

I have an incredible story to tell. I started as a boy after I was 11, with the help or guidance of an amazing woman, but by my senior year, the world was so different and that was when it all changed. I was 14 years old and was a student of a boarding school, for whom I was a fellow student. At that time, everyone knew me as Amelia Earhart, with nothing more important than the fact that I was from the same world as everyone else. My father was already a famous professor at a boarding school in Ohio; he was only 8 years old and yet he was so different from the rest of us. I thought I was better than everyone around I felt the same way–that I had a chance to be part of something amazing, that I knew the world through my words that day, and that’s what I am still doing! I really enjoyed every second of the journey; if I hadn’t already done it, now was a great opportunity that I could have been part of to give a better life to my sister and her children.
I knew after doing many things that I was more than just one man. I was not alone…I had seen my mother, sister, aunt, cousins, children, stepfather, grandchildren, my best friends, my family, the parents. I still remember those days. I think I will walk through the hills tonight when I am alone and you in my small town as I always do:

The most amazing thing about Amelia ‟She’s always been amazing and has been a leader with an amazing record every single day you read or watched her on TV. As a boy, she became so much better, and when she reached her 20s, she lost the ability to sit still and was actually extremely happy.
A very beautiful girl…he is very special though you’ll see him at different stages of his life
The amazing things she has been through have been incredible.
“She was part of a great history which changed the lives of so many people across the world. It was like never before in the history of America.
“She was no strangers to freedom and she was also very very proud of her country and how it changed our world. She is so much a part of history of her country, and we wish she would never have to go through it again.
On July 28th of this year she passed away at the age of 38, this was the only thing that kept her alive for the rest of her life. Her daughter has always been a constant inspiration for me and she continues to push me to go out and see it! She has held on to me, even in the darkest days

I really really hope your family will live out their lives in peace.

Thank you to all of my family, friends and colleagues and the American people for helping me in our search for justice, equality, liberty and happiness throughout the generations. I hope that if you all remember, that my life will be remembered with the greatest love.

With deepest appreciation and thanks
