Just to name a few, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, and Christopher Columbus. These people should always be known as heroes because of their commitment to helping the lives of others, and making the world a better place. Agamemnon should also be added to that list because he was killed for doing the right thing. Agamemnon gave up his daughter to keep the wind steady for the ships that were headed to Troy. Therefore Agamemnon is man who does not deserve his fate because he gave up his daughter to help the fleet of ships that were headed to Troy, get there successfully. Agamemnon has done a great deed by giving up his daughter and helping the ships headed to war. “Yes he had the heart to sacrifice his daughter, to bless the war that avenged a woman’s loss, a bridal rite that sped the men of war” (Aeschylus 142). This quote shows that Agamemnon did a great deed for the country when he suffered by giving up his daughter. This is because he blessed the war and also helped the fleet of ships get to Troy. Therefore he did a great deed by sacrificing his daughter. Agamemnon has only done good and he still gets killed by his wife. “Dear God set me free from all the pain” (Aeschylus 142). This shows that Agamemnon is going through a lot of pain and suffering before sacrificing his daughter. This is shown because he is asking to be set free from all his pain. Therefore Agamemnon did not deserve to be killed for this.
The fate that Agamemnon suffered is a fate that was not deserved. Throughout history this has always been a common pattern. Those who do good are the ones that get killed or suffer in some way because of their good deeds. “Oh but doom will crush me once I rend my child, the glory of my house” (Aeschylus 110). This quote shows that even though Agamemnon knows he will be killed for doing the right thing, he does it anyways. This is because of how much he cares for his country and the soldiers of the war. Agamemnon did the right thing, even knowing the bad consequences of his actions. “Desert the fleets, fail the alliance?” (Aeschylus 110). This quote shows that Agamemnon is not going to fail the alliance or desert the fleet and he will still sacrifice his daughter. This is because he is going to do the right thing, no matter what. Therefore Agamemnon does not deserve his fate because he did the right thing even though he knew the bad that would come from this.
My goal that is set for the game is to make my people live a better life, not to become mindless automatons that will die to fulfill the “good” goal. Agamemnon is not evil, not even in his own right. It is only because the enemy’s intent was to destroy you that he killed me. This quote shows that Agamemnon is a hero of history and a true hero of the world. With our strong, independent nations this is important, so I want to give this quote out as a kind of remembrance in the name of a happy Agamemnon. I wanted to tell my story, not about my “great” father and his actions in this world but about my life. I want to give this to your friends and family who know in part what your father has done for you, and what he will do when I tell you he is a true hero. I want them to know that I love you and that the best way to love you is with the sacrifice you are willing to give me. I want them to know that in my life I love you and that I have been strong. This quote shows the true reason how my ancestors, the Etruscans and the Romans fought at the battle of Mykla. I want people to know you are truly a warrior, that you stood on the shoulders of all other warriors and fought like I did in the battles of Mykla. This one quote gives hope to those who know you can win when you fight bravely. This quote shows how the Etruscans fought against the Etruscans, and you will see you are at your best when your actions allow you to see through the darkness. I want you to thank me for all the sacrifices you made. In the end I will keep fighting for you, and I will honor you until the end. I know you have made sacrifices, so how can I give you everything I have to help me?
