Introduction
Tourism is a travel for recreation, leisure, religious, family or business purposes usually for a limited duration. Tourism is commonly in domestic and international tourism but it also travel to the other places in the same countries.

Adventure Tourism is a subset of tourism that is rapidly growing in our industry and a lot of tourists are seeking for a new experience and adventure tourism is the right and suited for the adventurer. In adventure tourism has a lot of activities to offer for our tourists, in fact it has been proposed that the pursuit of risk is often the central motivation of adventure tourist.

Risk is a central element of the adventure tourism experience. Risk is a potential of losing something of value and it can gained or lost when taking risk resulting from a given action. However risk is subject and the result for the perceptions of tourist in this respect represent vital elements both in the marketing and in the production of experience.

Wakeboarding, which was originally called skurfing, arose in the late 1980s after the advent of skiboarding (now snowboarding). Skurfing is a sport that has many origins but is said to be created in Australia and New Zealand with bindingless hand-shaped boards designed specifically for towing A skurf board was lent to Jeff Darby and friends in Queensland, Australia, who started to make their own and who later came in contact with Tony Finn who was to later produce their brand Skurfer under royalty. The term “wakeboarding” was coined by Paul Fraser (Vancouver, Canada), along with his brother Murray and a pro snowboarder they sponsored. Paul approached Herb OBrien of HO Sports, and Herb went on to manufacture and sell the Hyperlite wakeboard in January 1991; the worlds first compression molded boards. The new manufacturing technique redefined the sport: skiboarding became wakeboarding. The neutral flotation of the Hyperlite allowed for much easier starts, and the sport was now available to a much wider demographic.

Wakeboarding is a surface waters sports which involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a body of water. It was developed from a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques. Wakeboarding is now emerging sports in the Philippines attracting tourist.

The purpose of the researchers is to find out why people are taking adventure tourism even though it can lead to tragedy, and what is the level of adventure they want to pursue. People choose adventure tourism because they want to take risk and living life at the edge. For instance are the cliff diving, surfing, spelunking and other extreme sports that involve risk on their safety.
