Please justify your choice.ANSWERSQ – 01: Identify a case that you want to investigate, define the problem, introduce the case, what are the stages that your research will follow?The Problem & Introduction of the CaseIn the new era of luxurious buildings and also the various properties in the hospitality industry in UAE; Facilities Management plays major and vast role to maintain sustainability and more significantly to meet and exceed the end user expectations. Outsourcing of Services in the field of facilities management became much popular from last decade as most of the organizations believe the outsourcing of services provide higher effectiveness to their day to day operation with considerable financial savings on departmental pay role. However the quality and the innovative nature of the outsourced services would have a question mark in above mentioned fields in UAE. Having a clear understanding of the impact of outsourcing a particular service to their Operation Expenditure (OPEX) and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) budgets; is one of the key points that any organization would like to have; as many organizations have failed and faces multiple issues with their consumers and also with assets in properties, due to non-having of comprehensive outsourcing strategy.The impact of outsourcing of services to internal operation of an organization has a wider range. However this case/research would target the impact of outsourcing facility management services to departmental/organizational CAPEX & OPEX budgets. [pic 1]Q – 03: At which stage you are expecting complications and how will you do to overcome these obstacles?Expected Complications at “Selection of exploratory research technique”Detailed analyses/study of previous related researchers is conducting in this stage (Literature review). Based on the findings, referenced to previous studies/researches the research objectives may require to be redefined or adjusted.Expected Complications at “Selection of basic research method”At the beginning of the research a survey via an interview process would be selected as the basic research method. But while move on the researcher may understand that the face to face interview with the responder will not provide accuracy and actual facts. In that case the researcher should think of a different method to maintain accuracy of the research.Expected Complications at “Selection of sample design”If “Survey with Questionnaire” has been selected as the basic research method; sending the questionnaire to correct people will guaranteed the accuracy of the data you obtain and at the end the overall success of the research. Identification of correct people/respondents is the complicated part in this stage.In-line with the case described in earlier answers; the questionnaire relates to this case should be send to the departmental decision making personals in most of hotels and luxurious buildings in UAE. If the questionnaire is shared only with relevant personals in one hotel will provide only biased data. Similarly if the percentage of respondents are less in managerial positions then that data also biased and less accuracy. Q – 04: Which method did you choose? Please justify your answer based on the case you identified.Chosen Method: Survey – QuestionnaireBased on the case described above, the actual impact can be understood by obtaining the response from the people who are experiencing the same scenarios in their daily working life. So a survey with online questionnaire will be the most suitable method to get the high accuracy responses from these people. Moreover, the sampling should cover maximum number of relevant and responsible staff who is working in subject industry (Hospitality & Luxurious building) in UAE.The survey will conduct through an online platform as each respondent is communicated via emails. So high accuracy in responses is expected as each respondent is considered as anonymous.  Q – 05: Can you define your research Objective(s)? Research Question and Hypothesis?Research Objective:How deep the responsible persons (department head, etc…) should look in to their CAPEX & OPEX budgeting; while the relevant services are outsourced.Research Question:What is the impact on departmental capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX) by outsourcing facility management services in hospitality industry and luxurious buildings in UAE?
