Academic dishonesty includes four general types of activity: cheating, dishonest conduct, plagiarism and collusion. The article is about how college and university faculties are responsible for forcing the rules of academic honesty. It is just not something you should read to the students and expect them to understand. The Academic Honesty layout should be explained, broken down to the advantages and disadvantages. Not only should students be addressed about the academic policy the students should have the rights to tell how they feel about or state whether or not they understand it. I also feel like it is very important that instructors take steps to prevent academic dishonesty such as: during the class meeting in which you talk about class expectations and structure for the course are discussed, also include a discussion of the academic standards of the course. Some issues that are related to online academic honesty are: plagiarism, fabrication, deception, cheating, bribery, sabotage, professional misconduct. Some steps to help avoid these problems are: dont download papers from the internet, be sure to note your resources when conducting research and taking notes, do not loan completed assignments to others.
