In fact, IDEO recognizes opportunities for development and innovation by understanding hidden customer needs, technology elements and business necessities for success. They assess potential solutions through client’s perception together with iterative fast prototyping. IDEO company has had incredible achievement in the business in light of various elements. The IDEO shopping cart project is one of the main projects that they can win the silver award in the industrial design excellence awards. It’s difficult to be a leader in a company that needs too many information and input but the organization was able to pull it off. Attributes in IDEO company According to the company profile, there are different attributes in IDEO association which encourage and enhances innovation in a company. The Impressive attribute in IDEO organization is the hard-working characteristic of the employees and team members in the company. As it was obvious, the staffs spent a lot of time to discussing and also they working overnight to achieve their goals in designing superior product. Hard-working of the employees have a direct impact on the organization because all of them endeavor to achieve a common goal. As we know that hard-working staff exhibits the traits of motivation, commitment, usefulness, and self-reliance. Hence, they always stay focused on their goal and mission, therefore, their works are regularly containing excellent quality which was the same result in IDEO shopping cart.
The second and important attribute is Teamwork that has enabled them to increase innovation in the company. In other words, teamwork at IDEO allow them to come together, shared the idea and information, use their skills and experiences to brainstorming which helps them to gather their best ideas as well as it can decrease the effectiveness of the works. In fact, Teamwork at IDEO is more effective at collaborating which are causes to deliver high-quality products and improve overall outcomes in organizational productivity. overall results in organizational productivity. Wage (1997) described Teamwork as an idea of working together in a group to achieve the same goals and objectives for the good of the service users and organizations in order to deliver a good quality of service (productivity). As seen in the project, teamwork helped them to define the problem and find the best solution to remaining the IDEO shopping cart. In addition, diversity impact the effectiveness of teamwork because each team member has various ability and skill, work experience and thought procedure and standpoint. Accordingly, when the group talks about any issue, it is assessed on all the possibility, a pertinent measurement which it influences on decision making.
