War Vs Peace Essay
When it comes to War or Peace the only logical answer is war. There is no such thing as World Peace. The idea of World Peace is great; the thought of everyone getting along and accepting our differences makes me smile. However there will always be those in the world that will fight for what they believe in, even if it causes harm to others, this is where war comes in. War has been going on ever since the human race began. Most wars are about religion. World War II is a good example of this. Todays war is in Iraq. It is believe Saddam Hussein, a dictator in Iraq, is an imminent threat and has weapons of mass destruction. Succeeding in this war would mean a drop in oil prices, Saddam Hussein would be either captured or terminated, and we would be able to finally bring our soldiers home.         Most of the worlds Oil is in the Middle East, particularly in Iraq. If we win the war, we would be able to use the oil out of Iraq, meaning gas prices would drop. Oil is one of the main components in gas, however it is a non-renewable resource and we are running out. Iraqs oil would prolong the inevitable. The U.S. Economy would benefit, as would our allies economies. Iraqs economy would fall, so its a win-win for us. Another win would be the fact that lower oil prices would equal lower money to the Islamic State. The Islamic State is so horrible, even an Al-Qaeda leader believed the Islamic State is too brutal.         Another great benefit of winning this war would be the capturing (or execution) of Saddam Hussein. Saddam is believed to be connected to Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups that could provide weapons of mass destruction. With the war going on, we can only imagine what Saddam would do to our people here in the United States. Saddam is supposedly in hiding which leads me to believe he will be letting the terrorist groups to do his dirty work. This would mean someone from Al-Qaeda could easily get into the United States undetected and set off a bomb (or attack differently). As of right now Saddam has been getting his men to fire at U.S. and British planes, enforcing the U.N. to set up no fly zones.
