Much of the programs early work focused on leadership activities including the formation of a community coalition that became known as Vet Help a Vet program. As a result of the programs effective leadership and numerous Bronx organizations were formed including South Bronx model cities,
Vet Help a Vet is proud to be an interorganization based in the South Bronx with the objective of fostering a culture of care and care for a community of veterans and their families.We are committed to ensuring that a Vet is cared for, provided with proper care and care, and cared for by a vet. We seek to do this by having a strong social support system that supports those who are looking for assistance and care for their health. We provide the opportunity for service to their loved ones which, combined with the benefits of care in the community of the Vet Support a Vet community, creates a positive environment where many of the children of our community live and work.We offer a variety of programs to help those looking for care. Whether you’re an out-of-city or out-of-town individual, a veteran, youth, parents of a vet, or a local business owner trying to get their Vet or Service Certificate to a U.S. Military Veteran or Veteran, get in touch with us to schedule your one-on-one consultation.For current information on the Vet Help a Vet program, please visit www.cambexvethelpa.org. Vet Help a Vet can be an ideal place to begin looking for help. We have two Vet Help a Vet coordinators on staff, each of whom offers the ultimate support and care to your needs. The help teams will be able to guide you through your decision-making process as you are informed. The Vet Help a Vet program is a direct link from you to VA for help looking for help. Operation FrontlineShare Our Strength and Vet Help a Vet Food Harvest have partnered to provide Operation Frontline in New York City. Operation Frontline is a nutrition education and financial planning program nationally sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. This direct outreach program mobilizes culinary and nutrition professionals to teach cooking classes focusing on nutrition and food budgeting to people who are at risk of hunger and malnutrition in New York City. Culinary and nutrition professionals volunteer their time to lead the classes, which run for six weeks and are held at Vet Help a vet Food Harvest agencies.
