This paper is about clip art and about the way they can be used in documents or even power point presentations, and Im sure there are other ways they can be used. I myself have never had to use clip art so doing this research will help me in any further papers that I might have to do. There are two sites that I picked out and in the following paragraphs I will explain how and where I might use them.
The first site that I found is called #1Free Clip Art and it has over ten thousand different pieces of clip art in every category one could think of. Most of my classes have to do with computers and as you can see from this site there is a computer category, so if I need a picture of a computer, I now have access not only to what I already have on my computer but also what is on this site. Adding a picture to a paper in certain situations is a great way to express what you are trying to say. Also on this site you will find a category called technology so if your paper has to do with wireless accessories you can also add a picture here also. Like I have said before a picture is worth a thousand words and thanks to clip art you can always dress up your document and make it easier to get your point across.
After thinking about this discussion point for a while I figured out that one of the most important uses of clip art is to get people to pay more attention to your presentation. Who or what type of person is one that could be distracted easily so adding some neat clip art is something that would keep them interested? After some thought I believe a teacher keeping their students interested would be one of the most important places that a piece of clip art could be used. When a teacher puts together a presentation for their class, one they must keep them interested so, two they will learn the topic that they are being taught. As I went through all the web sites I found one that specifically deals with what teachers need and what kinds of clip art they might use. This site is called teacher files dot com and all of their categories deal with most all of the things a teacher would need. I know that if I was a teacher this would be a very important site to find because like I said keeping the childrens minds interested in the topic of discussion is the most important thing and visual aids can be very helpful in doing this.
I started this paper not knowing much about clip art but after going to different sites and seeing so many different pieces of art I have found that adding pictures to documents can be very important and helpful. In college clip art can be very important to a paper, a power point project or any other document that a picture can help enhance what idea you are trying to get across. And second when it comes to teaching children your number one problem is keeping them interested and if you add art to a presentation I believe that keeps their minds into the subject and helps them learn and understand the subject
