Many plays in English literature has deeply impacted hearts of readers throughout the ages. William Shakespeare, an English playwright, poet and actor, provided a wide variety of brilliant plays. Among other works, particular attention must be focused on Shakespeares classic play „Romeo and Juliet”. It often happens that the characters and everything around them change during the novel. Such examples are already mentioned the title characters who, in fact, are tragic heores.          The first title character, Romeo, was the only son in Montague family. He was presented as a handsome, intelligent and immature man of about sixteen. At the beginning of the novel he fell in love with a woman named Rosaline. It was a feeling that grew into unfulfilled love. The turning point in his life was meeting thirteen-year-old Juliet, the daughter of Capulet and Lady Capulet. Between families there was a huge feud which Romeo was not interested in. His feelings turned out to be true and he married Juliet. When the moment of exile of Romeo from Verona came, his beloved wife did not lose faith in being together with him.          Although Romeo and Juliet came from different families, they shared some similarities. Not only Romeo but also Juliet are the extremely emotional characters. At the beginning of novel, he is an unhappy person, but then upon meeting Juliet, he became a lovesick schoolboy. She is anxious about her relationship with her beloved and pesters the nurse with positive humor to find out about her new love. What is more, both Romeo and Juliet are impulsive characters. The example is the fact that they rushed into this secret relationship and also death when they thought the other was dead.
